有一点我决定需要补充，那就是学习中文的时候不必刻意同时去学习两种书写方式，也就是说不用同时学习简体和繁体中文的读写。因为你学习了其中任意一种，你就能自然而然的掌握另外一种。😁

I'm trying to learn German and I'd like to become fluent eventually. (TL;DR at the bottom) I'm using the free trail of Duolingo at the moment and I am genuinely loving it! I really, really like German so far and the way Duolingo teaches... *But* I feel like it might not last? I'm not very good at sticking to the same thing for long even if I want to. I either get bored, overwhelmed, discouraged, etc. I've already tried Babble and Rosetta Stone in the past for Spanish (more on that later) and I didn't really like them. I *really* want to learn German though. I listen to German music, both modern and folk music (I will look into more), I listen to bedtime story esque videos at night (most do have English translation at some point), I found some work pages to study, and I found Easy German on UA-cam although I haven't looked too far into it yet. I don't want the easiest or fastest way to learn German, no, I want to learn German well, with good results. And I know half of that depends on me. I've never learned a new language, I tried Spanish twice but was uninterested. German, however? I just can't wait to learn more! But I know myself, and I know I might get tired of it even though I don't want to. Basically, after giving too much extra info, lol, I want an engaging way to learn German in many ways, like you said, through audio perhaps. Does anyone have any recommendations for me to help with learning? Work sheets or anything. Something I forgot to mention, actually, I don't have much money to spend at the moment so anything free or very, very cheap is preferable. (Thank you.) Should I stick to Duolingo for a few years? I've only just started.. A few days ago..😅 I really do love the learning/teaching style though. Should I switch to something else? Try other ways? I'm really not sure. Any and all tips, info, and recommendations are very welcome. Just don't tell me to give up, lol, that's not welcome 😂. Another thing I forgot to mention is I am young. Not a little child but, yeah. I just thought I say that in case that has any effect on ways of learning which, I guess it can. TL;DR: I'm just beginning to learn German and I am using Duolingo for now. I'd like to become fluent eventually. Should I stick with Duo for a few years or should I switch to something else and are there any other ways you recommend for learning (Work pages, podcasts, music, books, other language learning apps, etc)? It’s my go-to app for language learning. I like to use it to watch my shows and movies on Netflix, which is a great way for me to become immersed in my target language, which is Vietnamese. I’ve already learned a lot so far and am quite pleased with the progress I’m making.
